Ajman school revitalized
In the UAE, Unicity partnered with a local foundation, Dubai Cares, as part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives to restore the Al Rashidyah School in Ajman.
Unicity leaders and staff volunteered their time on a Saturday morning to assemble new desks and chairs, paint educational murals, replenish teachers' rooms with supplies, and install artificial grass and shades within the kindergarten area.
“We deeply appreciate Unicity’s strong belief in the power of community and their unwavering commitment to education," said Abdulla Ahmed Alshehhi, chief operating officer at Dubai Cares.
The work has transformed the school into a lively and inspiring place for the nearly 800 students who attend.
Growing change
Unicity continues to support sustainable nutrition through its Unicity-sponsored gardens in the Philippines:
4 garden complexes: Fruits, vegetables, and eggs are supplied to schools and nutrition centers for underfed children.
60,000 students fed daily
65 nutrition centers
300+ local employees: Excess produce sold at local markets and Metro Manila to pay wages of gardeners.
